Build your tournament day

Teams, pools, fixtures, scores and knockouts in six steps. Everything saves in this browser as you go — send it to us when you're done.

The day

Name the tournament and say how many fields you have. The times on every fixture are worked out from these.

Tournament

Fields

Name them the way the day is announced — A field, B field, Main, Back field. On the next step you can send a pool to a particular field, so an age group can run on A while another runs on B.

Timing

Two fields at 14 minutes plus a 2 minute break means a new pair of matches every 16 minutes.

Log points

Pools are ranked on points, then points difference, then points scored.

Age groups and teams

Add an age group, then paste your team names into it — one per line is quickest.

Add an age group

Pools

Choose how many pools each age group runs, then move teams around with the arrows until it looks right.

Fixtures and scores

Generate the pool matches, then fill in scores as the day goes. Logs and the next-up list update themselves.

Every team plays everyone else in its pool once.

Knockout divisions

Cup, Plate, Bowl — or whatever you call them. Add a division, pick its size, and fill the first round from the pool logs or by hand. Winners move up on their own.

Match day

Push a field's matches into an overlay room, so the operator works down the same list the programme shows. One room is one overlay, so pull each field into its own.

Pull into a room

Saved days

Every day built or sent here is kept, whether or not it was pulled into a room. Open one to carry on with it.

Save and send

Everything is kept in this browser as you work. Use these to get it out — as a spreadsheet, as a file, or straight to Mashed Potatoes.

Send to Mashed Potatoes

One click and the fixtures land with the streaming team, so nobody has to chase you for them. You can send again any time — the latest version wins.

Download

The CSV opens in Excel and matches the columns the website already uses. The working file is the whole day — pools, brackets and all — so you can carry on later or on another machine.
