Laerskool Wonderboom competes at a high standard, playing in the A-bond (Suid-Oos division) against Pretoria's top primary schools. Below the 1st team, the "Bulletjie Rugby" programme runs through Term 1 and Term 2 for foundation-phase boys. The focus there isn't winning, it's making sure every player enjoys the game. Through coaches and parent support, the programme is built to help players discover their abilities, teamwork and personal success.

Laerskool Wonderboom hosted its "Super Olympics 2026" on 15 January, an athletics event bringing together the current team, reserves and new learners for their first meet of the year.
